The Creation Care Committee is a ministry of Mt Tabor, formed by members who believe that caring for the earth is part of loving God and our neighbors.
What we believe
Scripture begins in a garden and ends in a garden city. From Genesis’s call to “work and keep” the earth, to the psalms that put praise in the mouths of rivers and trees, to Paul’s vision of a creation set free — we believe the Bible calls the church to a thoughtful, hopeful stewardship of the world God loves.
What we do
We host events through the year: creek clean-ups, native plant workshops, book studies, and creation-themed worship. We publish a monthly newsletter with reflections, local nature notes, and practical ideas. And we advise the church on ways our own building and grounds can better reflect our convictions.
